Hands down one of the leading Chess apps out here, available on your Google Android phone or tablet, Chess Games from Max Dev is a brilliant app for your addition whether you are a newbie or an old-school chess player.
The graphics on the Google Play app for Chess Games are a brilliant combination of 2D, 3D, and HD simulations, and the architecture of the app has a lot of realism to it. It’s just as great as having an actual chess set, and you’ll love the sleek graphics if you are using a large tab with high resolution. The score of the cool graphics is 10/10.
What is it about?
Chess Games is built around the classic mode of play for regular chess and takes two opponents battling to capture the opposing kings. 16 chess pieces on both sides, black and white, draw the line; 8 pawns, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 2 rooks, 1 queen and 1 king. The object of the game is to checkmate the opponent’s king, while the game can end in a draw or the opponent to concede defeat.
You can go into different play modes and adjust the difficulty settings and you are afforded with a variety of options such as 3D chess game, Chinese chess game and kids’ chess games. The app also offers game trailers and screenshots.
The controls on the app make simple use of tapping, swiping and dragging your chess pieces to your desired position. You can just drag your chess piece to the selected square if you want to pick a piece. The controls are convenient and up-to-date, and also give a nice uncluttered feel.
The Android app is free to get, and it also doesn’t offer any in-app purchases. You’ll just need an online connection to play Chess Games Real. The score of this point is 9 out of 10.
To replay or not to replay
I’ll probably play the game again because of how many play options it offers you. You can play in different modes, and you can also change the difficulty level which allows actually to learn and enjoy the experience. As a hobby player, I play the game severally as it offers me an opportunity to learn new strategies and moves. The reply value of the chess games is 9/10.
Is it good?
I’d recommend the game to anyone because of how much you get to learn from the game. You can take on people from around the world, and your kids can also enjoy this game. The variety of themes, either 2D, 3D or HD spice things up and remove from the monotony of playing the same thing over and over again.
The latest version offers a few new updates on the UI although you still get ads at the bottom of your screen. The game is quite realistic, unlike other chess games that I’ve played from the Google Play. The controls are fluid, and the physics of the movement is generally responsive. The drawback is that the game is only compatible with Android, which locks out those with iOS devices. However, if you have a Google phone or tablet, get this app immediately!
