Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp — Welcome to The Furry Tale

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a camp simulator, in which you manage a goofy community of friendly animals. Here you can earn toy money, fulfill requests from the furry citizens and decorate the town the way you like.

The animal crossing has been around for almost 20 years. And as the Nielsen Scan SuperData shows, it’s one of the best-selling games during the quarantine. So, if you’re a bored home-stayer who always dreamt of running a society of happy furry buddies — this is your chance.

What Is It About

Do Kittens Like Camping?

Imagine that the cosmic powers catapulted you to a place where only sentient animals dwell. This is what Animal Crossing is all about. Kittens, puppies, squirrels, penguins, foxes, bunnies — they are your friends to play with. And also some sort of loyal subjects and employers at the same time.

Your objective here is to build a camp for them, which is almost a legit town. There are a lot of items and decorative elements to unlock. So, you can erect a flower fountain or architect a café where sophisticated raccoons dressed in tuxedos will sip chocolate. Or you can launch a music festival with fireworks.

Furry Economy

There’s also a tinge of the business sim. Pocket Camp has a stock market analog. There you can convert a rich turnip harvest into sweet monies. This profit can be spent on decorative elements, hammocks, couches, etc. Also, you can expand your character’s wardrobe.

Loyalty Must Be Earned

But before you build a large pet community, you must win their hearts. Like in real-life politics, trust can be earned through fulfilling animals’ requests. A group of kitties demands Atlantic mackerel to appear on the market shelves? It’s almost Christmas time and you need to throw a feast with a penguin chef-cook as a guest? It’d best be done asap!

Is It Good

All in all, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is a fun pie. It has a big caboodle of content and about 100 adorable critters to unlock. As the seasons change, you can throw wild parties to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, and so on.

Maintaining the economy and completing requests adds a feel of challenge. Which at times can be brain-bending, but still fun. So, if you’re stay-at-homer who appreciates cute fantasy settings and the company of adorable little beasts — Animal Crossing will reward you with hours of joy.
